About the artist
Unlike the traditional Western emphasis on controlled form and predetermined structure, his creative process begins with release. He embraces gesture over outline: painting in an impulsive, instinctive way, letting the viscous flow of colour, the force of gravity, and the way surfaces absorb pigment choreograph the result.
