DESCRIPTION
Johan Pertl, from the Czech Republic's glassmaking hub of Vysočina, graduated from the University of Arts, Architecture, and Design in Prague. Specializing in glass and marble collectible designs, he founded his studio in 2020, blending design and craftsmanship to create unique pieces.
Monument is a table crafted from a combination of red marble and melted crystal glass. The rough texture of the stone, reminiscent of a landscape profile, contrasts beautifully with the block of glass that rises above the surrounding relief. The visual impact of this sculptural design is shaped by the natural form of the stone, seamlessly integrating the glass into its composition.
