This week we had the great honor of being invited to participate in the panel discussion Of Threads, Fire, and Light, presented by 1x1 Art Gallery. The event, held alongside the gallery’s current exhibitions, created a rare and inspiring dialogue between craft, art, architecture, and emotion.
Far beyond a conventional design showcase, the panel opened a living laboratory of materiality — where fiber, flame, and glass became languages of memory, mastery, and transformation. Together with artists and fellow participants, we explored how contemporary design is shifting from being purely solution-driven to becoming a deeper form of storytelling: rooted in cultural memory, inherited techniques, and radical experimentation.
For us, it was both a pleasure and a privilege to represent the strength of Czech contemporary glass art within this international conversation. We are grateful for the invitation and look forward to continuing to share the story of Czech glass — a story of tradition reimagined through innovation, emotion, and artistry.
